Resident of the Month September 2024
Meet Mary Beth Taylor, Traditions' September Resident of the Month! Mary Beth has called Traditions at North Bend home since November of 2023.
"I chose Traditions at North Bend as my new home because of the tremendous amount of helpful information given to my sons while I was in the hospital. Marvalyn Zix, their Community Relations Director, even came to visit me while I was in rehab – that was extra special," said Mary Beth.
Mary Beth was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but raised in Cincinnati. She attended the University of Georgia – she loves football and is a huge Bulldogs fan!
Mary Beth was married for 25 years to the love of her life, Michael, and has been widowed for six years. She has two sons, Brian and Brad, who live nearby, and four grandchildren — two boys and two girls (one in college and three in high school). Mary Beth loves spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities.
Mary Beth was a first-grade teacher for many years and then worked at Frische's Corporate Office for ten years. Additionally, Mary Beth trained administrators for a large real estate company in Cincinnati for 20 years.
She has always loved helping people and has never met a stranger. She and her husband were faithful members of Hope Lutheran Church, where they served as property chairs for many years. Mary Beth is still a tireless volunteer at her church.
"I love arts and crafts and word games," said Mary Beth. "Truly, my favorite activity at Traditions at North Bend is meeting new and current residents and learning the history of their life."
"All the employees really care about their residents, and they will help in any way. That makes Traditions at North Bend feel like home," she continued.
"Nominating Mary Beth Taylor as Traditions' Resident of the Month was an easy decision," said Marvalyn Zix, Community Relations Director. "Mary Beth serves as our Resident Ambassador, helping new residents feel welcome and included. She has made many good friends here and brings joy and friendship to our new residents."
